This is an unusual article for us but it is one that we thought needed sharing, especially during the busy Christmas period. As a break to our consistent music updates, we want to tell you about the Yellow Dog Campaign.
The Yellow Dog Campaign is promoting that if you see a yellow coat on any dog when you are out and about then you should aim to give the dog some space as this bold yellow colour symbolises that that dog may have some kind of unseen issue.
Yellow Dog is an international campaign which focuses on creating awareness for the dogs that need space. The charity Yellow dog was founded in 2012 by Eva Oliversson and is currently based in Sweden. Eva is a certified dog trainer and dog behaviourist and therefore has a lot of knowledge on what is needed for our furry friends.
The most important message that Yellow Dog are aiming to spread is that both adults and children should always practice asking before stroking a dog as the dog may have issues that can not be seen.
With the use of a yellow bandana, jacket or lead you can protect your dog and make sure that everyone around you is aware that they may need as much space as possible.
